British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Fatal Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos announced on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.

Healing from Light Wounds

The sports star had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”

His release from the hospital follows the boxing community offered its support for the star in the following the devastating accident.
